Dr. Basel holds LL.B. and LL.M. degrees from the University of Jordan, and a Ph.D. in Civil Law (with distinction) from Rowan University, France (2008). He is a Professor of Commercial and Civil Law at Mutah University.
Dr. Basel previously served as a Law Lecturer at Qatar University for approximately three years, during which he contributed to the academic development of students in private law disciplines. He also served for several years as Dean of the Faculty of Law at Mutah University.
He has authored several legal books and published numerous research papers in the field of private law, including studies on civil and commercial law. His academic achievements are complemented by extensive practical experience as a senior legal consultant for a large number of companies and institutions, offering in-depth expertise in commercial, contractual, and civil law.
Dr. Basel has substantial litigation experience before all levels of Jordanian courts and has represented clients in numerous arbitration, mediation, and negotiation proceedings. His ability to integrate his academic background with his professional practice enables him to provide comprehensive, well-founded legal analysis and strategic advice.
He is fluent in Arabic, English, and French, which enhances his capacity to manage cross-border legal matters and communicate effectively with international clients and institutions.
